DESCRIPTION:# ADAPT-ABLE FOUNDATION \n### Bringing adaptive & able-bodied communities together to experience the magic of SCUBA \nLearn about this incredible\, local organization and how it’s changing lives at\nThursday’s monthly Scubadillo Dive Club meeting \nJoin us for a special program at our monthly Scubadillo meeting\, Thursday\, April 6\, at On the Border in Addison. \nKari-Ann Melendez of the Adapt-Able Foundation will be our featured speaker.\nKari-Ann and Dale Davis\, co-founders and directors of the foundation\, created this organization as a veteran-operated non-profit dedicated to bringing adaptive (those with physical\, emotional or developmental disabilities) and able-bodied people together so everybody enjoys scuba diving. \nShe’ll share inspiring success stories of individuals with various disabilities who have had their lives radically changed through scuba diving. Kari-Ann will also provide an update on the foundation’s activities\, including upcoming events\, and how able-bodied individuals can become involved in this life-changing organization. \nMeeting details\nOur meeting begins at 7 p.m. If your schedule permits\, please come for the social/dinner hour around 6 p.m. \nBring some cash for the raffle\, which offers fun\, mostly useful items!\nFins up! See you Thursday.
